All international students (regardless of citizenship) must have a contact person with a Norwegian address. This person could be a relative, a family friend or someone else who knows you. Your contact person will

- be like your next of kin if needed. 
- throughaout the year receive e-mails from the school with information in Norwegian. 
- be able to host you during the four school holidays (Autumn, Christmas, Winter and Easter breaks) when the school is closed, unless you wish to stay elsewhere. 
-be able to assist you in required processes such as opening a Norwegian bank account, getting a Norwegian sim card etc. 
-be ready to host you in case of expulsion or any other reason that means you can not stay in the school dormitories

As a Norwegian citizen you will be eligible for loan and scholarship from Lånekassen (The Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund). To apply you need a Norwegian bank-id or Min id. 
You must show up in person in a Norwegian bank to get bank-id. For Min id you can apply online here. We advice that you apply for Min id as soon as you have accepted a place in our school. This way you can apply for Lånekassen and receive your first disbursement in time for the first payment of school fee in August. 

All students are covered by the school's insurance from the moment they leave their home address in their home country to travel directly to the school till they return to their home after the school year directly from the school to their home address.
