At Oslo folk high school you’ll spend a year studying Norwegian language and culture alongside Norwegian peers. Discover your passions, build lifelong friendships, and explore one of the most beautiful countries in the world — all without the pressure of exams or grades.
We are a boarding school with programs targeted towards young adults aged 18-22 with a few places for students down to the age of 16 and up to around 25 years old. We offer two different programs for international students. Both courses require good conversational level knowledge of English.
CHOOSE YOUR WAY
OPTION 1
Study Norwegian language and culture as your main course. In addition you attend elective courses in Norwegian with Norwegian peers. READ MORE.

Study a course in your field of interest (music, art, sports, creative subjects) in Norwegian with Norwegian peers. In addition you attend Norwegian language courses. READ MORE.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Application for the following school year opens 15th October every year. There is no application deadline, but the most popular programs fill up quickly – so don’t wait too long.
