Study trip to South Africa
Colorful culture, stunning scenery and a heavy history that still shapes society. From African jazz in Soweto and Johannesburg to beach life in Cape Town, this tour gives you the opportunity to experience South Africa up close.
We know both the country and the people: You don't just get to see the country as a tourist, but experience South Africa firsthand - through conversations and meetings with local youth and organizations.
The fight for justice
The history of apartheid still shapes the young democracy. Why are there still the world's largest differences between poor and rich? To understand, we visit poor townships and privileged guarded housing areas. We visit the Apartheid Museum and Robben Island prison. What can we learn from Nelson Mandela?
LOCAL COMMUNITY
Through our collaboration with the YMCA, we meet South African youth. Experience the culture from the inside! It is playful, rhythmic, proud and deeply rooted in community and musicality. Music, dance and togetherness are an important part of everyday life for South Africans.
South Africa is also known for its diverse and beautiful nature. We go on safari in Pilanesberg National Park, and experience the views from Table Mountain. We cycle through Soweto and visit the coast with surfing and penguin beaches, and we have time to experience the sunset at Signal Hill.
