OSLOVE – The city as a classroom

In the subject OSLOVE we get to know the capital better and everything it has to offer: from east to west, from the city center to the countryside and the fjord. During the school year you will experience the best of culture, sports and nature that can be found in Oslo. Some experiences you share with the whole school, other experiences you can choose to participate in.

A city of contrasts

Through OSLOVE you will experience diversity and community, culture and nature, traditions and new impulses. You will gain insight into what shapes the city of art and culture, sports and volunteering, multicultural environments and local communities. Here is some of what you will experience with us.

Joint trip to Nordmarka

During the first few weeks we go on a group trip to Nordmarka with overnight stays in the Nordmark Chapel, lavvo or hammock. We go on day trips into the field, gather around the campfire, swim and get to know each other better. The trip provides good shared experiences and a taste of the hiking opportunities that are in the immediate vicinity of the school.

Group trip to Strandheim

The year ends with a joint overnight trip to Strandheim camp by the Oslofjord. Here we can enjoy refreshing swims in the fjord and activities in idyllic surroundings. We fill the days with volleyball, football, canoeing, swimming, relaxing by the pier and pleasant moments around the campfire.

Along the river in torchlight

Elvelangs i fakkellys is an annual cultural festival along the Akerselva River in Oslo. A variety of artists and musicians create atmospheric experiences with live music, sound art and installations and it's all free! We participate both as performers and as audience members in one of the highlights of the autumn.
