You will learn about Japanese culture, history and everyday life, and discover how technology and tradition live side by side in a society that is very different from our own.
Vibrant city life
In Tokyo we explore Harajuku with its colorful street culture and Akihabara, the center of anime, gaming and gadgets. We head to Asakusa with temples, markets and local food and see how old traditions live on in the middle of the big city. We meet people working in technology, design and entrepreneurship, and gain insight into how creativity and hard work are driving Japan forward.
Hope for peace
In Hiroshima, you will encounter a completely different side of Japan. Here you will visit the Peace Memorial Museum and learn the story of the bombing during World War II – and how the city has risen as a symbol of peace and hope. It will be a powerful experience, which will give you space for reflection and conversations about how history and people are connected, even today.
Finally, we travel to Kyoto – the historical heart of Japan. Here you can join a cooking class and tea ceremony, and if you want - a few days in the mountains with skis or snowboards on your feet. Together we will experience a Japan that is both traditional and modern, and completely unforgettable.
