Study trip to Brazil
Experience sports, music, art and unique encounters in Niterói and Rio de Janeiro. We play soccer and volleyball with local Brazilians. We get carried away by the rhythms of samba and the energy of capoeira. And we explore the colorful expressions of street art, and go on mountain hikes with spectacular viewpoints.
Sports joy
We play with and against local Brazilians in several sports – on the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema and in the favelas. Football, volleyball, surfing, and beach sports give a taste of real Brazilian sports joy. You get the chance to experience a football match at the legendary Maracana, and of course top volleyball at the Brazilian level.
Visit to Favelas
Brazil is a country with a rich history – shaped by colonialism and great social inequalities. Through visits to favelas and local families you will gain an insight into the differences the people of Brazil live under. At the same time, you will notice how sports and culture can build community across borders.
We will visit iconic sites such as the Christ the Redeemer statue and the Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Niterói (MAC Niterói), but you will also see places and activities that you would never experience as a tourist. We will be accompanied on the tour by a teacher who was born and raised in Rio. He will give us a unique insight into Brazilian culture.
