Oslo Folkehøgskole is for those between 18 and 22 years old who want a year filled with professional learning, community and personal development.

We assess applications based on motivation, interests and expectations , as well as line capacity and a desire to create a diverse and sustainable learning environment .

Most students are 19–20 years old, but we also have a few places for students under 18 and a smaller group from 22–26 years old.

The most important thing for us is not grades – but your commitment and desire to attend folk high school.

Applicants who accept a school place have a 14-day right of withdrawal according to the Right of Withdrawal Act. Notification of the use of the right of withdrawal must be given to the school within the deadline, and can be given in any way. You can use the right of withdrawal form that can be downloaded here. The deadline is considered met if the notification is sent within the deadline, and you should ensure that this can be documented.

If you withdraw from the school after August 1, 2026 and until the start of school, you must pay tuition fees for 6 weeks. If you interrupt the school year during the year, you will pay for the schooling up to the interruption + 6 weeks. The school will notify the Loan Fund and the student support will cease.
