YoungProd

Learn about all stages of a stage production, from idea to completion.
Experience concerts, performances and other events in Oslo's rich cultural life.
Participate in creative processes, and create experiences for those around you through work on your own productions.

This is the line for those who want to explore both what happens on stage and – not least – the magic that is created behind it. You get to cultivate your commitment, collaborate with other students and organizations such as YWCA-YWCA Norway, and immerse yourself in both creative and technical tasks. Together we help create stage experiences that excite a wide audience. You become part of an inspiring community at school – at the same time as we have all of Oslo's fantastic cultural offerings right outside our door.

A YEAR AT UngProd

  • Production of scenic projects from idea to finished product.

  • Copywriting, project management, content production, sound and lighting.

  • Event management and practical experience from festivals and events.

  • Collaboration and creative processes with other students and disciplines.

  • Academic specialization in one of the school's scenic or creative lines: Performing Music, Artist/Songwriter and Music Production, Street and Contemporary Dance, PhotoVideo or Art and Architecture.

The teaching is varied. We have project-based work with productions, concerts and workshops, and external events with KFUK-KFUM Norway. We offer practical experience as a production employee in both internal and external arenas. We learn more about ourselves and each other through creative processes and become well acquainted with lighting and the lighting rig throughout the year. You will also have the opportunity to develop as a stage performer. By specializing in one of the school's creative or stage lines, you will receive teaching that allows you to explore and immerse yourself in other artistic processes and expressions.

We make use of Oslo's creative environments, music and stage arenas, and collaborate with professional actors and non-profit organizations. With a delegate pass at Bylarm, you get the opportunity to learn more about everything that goes into a stage production. Students on the program will receive both teaching and practice connected to various creative environments in the city. This is tailored to the students who are on the program and their areas of interest.

This is the line for those who want to develop themselves scenically and creatively, both in front of and behind the stage. It is suitable for anyone with an interest in music, theater, dance, production and content work. You do not need prior knowledge, just motivation to participate in creative processes and productions.
